Sunset yard security

CluckShades

Guarding one dusty gate until somebody brings grain.

Yard Shift

One ordinary evening at the compound, arranged by increasing commitment.

  1. Ticker$CLUCK
  2. PostThe narrow gate beside the western crates.
  3. ShiftSunset until the grain tin opens.
  4. UniformBlack shades, red comb, no exceptions.
  5. CallOne cluck, delivered at full volume.

West Gate

At sundown, Cluck Shades takes the narrow lane between the crates and the west wall. Nobody assigned the post. Nobody has managed to relieve it. The shades remain level, the beak stays open, and every passing barrel receives the same hard look. By nightfall, the yard is secure enough for grain.

Yard Habits

Six reliable habits keep the compound almost orderly.

  • Stone Face

Shades stay level when the yard gets loud.

  • Early Riser

Arrives before the sun finishes clocking in.

  • Gate Duty

Watches one doorway and judges every crate.

  • Dust Feet

Leaves three-toed evidence across fresh sand.

  • Single Note

Communicates entirely in one decisive syllable.

  • Snack Policy

    Accepts grain. Rejects operational questions.
